The Executives

Acts as the lead advocate for academic integrity and student rights within the university setting. Chairs both the Academic Caucus and Policy Committee.

Engages with students and academic bodies to establish CSU’s academic priorities. Coordinates Senate and Board representation, updates the CSU’s standing regulations and bylaws, and ensures policies reflect students’ needs. Plays a crucial role in academic policy development and institutional accountability.

Serves as the CSU’s primary liaison for external relations, activism, and mobilization campaigns.

Develops and manages large-scale advocacy and mobilization campaigns on issues affecting students. Works closely with the Campaigns Department to plan events and initiatives, recommends budget allocations, and builds coalitions with community and student organizations. Ensures student voices are represented beyond the campus.

Oversees all financial operations and ensures responsible fiscal management within the CSU.

Prepares the annual budget in collaboration with the Finance Committee, monitors revenues and expenditures, and ensures adherence to the Finance Policy. Provides regular updates and projections to Council, and ensures transparency and compliance in financial matters. Plays a key role in maintaining the CSU’s financial sustainability and accountability.

Functions as the executive head of the CSU, responsible for overall coordination and strategic vision.

Acts as the primary spokesperson and executive leader, ensuring all CSU departments and committees function cohesively. Participates ex-officio in nearly all standing committees, supports executives in meeting deadlines and goals, and ensures the CSU operates in alignment with its mission and bylaws. Oversees interdepartmental communication and long-term planning.

Manages the internal structure and governance of the CSU, including Council operations and club support.

Organizes Council seat allocation based on enrollment data, maintains internal records, and manages the Clubs & Space Committee. Facilitates Council communication, coordinates council training, and ensures smooth operational procedures within the CSU’s governance structure.

Represents the interests of students at the Loyola campus and bridges communication between CSU and Loyola-based initiatives.

Organizes events and services specifically for Loyola students, advocates for improved facilities and food options, and manages Loyola-specific budgetary allocations. Chairs the Loyola Committee and ensures Loyola students are equitably served and engaged in CSU programming.

Leads student engagement and community-building efforts through event planning and student outreach.

Oversees the organization of key events such as Orientation Week, coordinates the Student Life Committee, and manages the logistics and evaluation of social activities. Submits detailed post-mortem reports on events and ensures activities are inclusive, vibrant, and reflective of the student body’s interests.

Champions sustainability and social justice within CSU operations and across the university.

Leads the Sustainability Committee, distributes bursaries in line with equity goals, and advises Council on environmental and social justice matters. Promotes a decolonial and intersectional approach to sustainability, focusing on marginalized communities disproportionately impacted by climate and ecological challenges. Develops programs that reflect the CSU’s environmental values and responsibilities.
